We get asked a lot for in-person consultations. While email, phone, and video meetings are great, some prefer old-fashioned face-to-face meetings. So, we are excited to announce that we are now offering in-person consultations with our master herbalist, Josh!

Herbalist and a pig

Josh and Vicki at Lone Duck Farm!

These consultations will take place at the beautiful Lone Duck Farm in Saugerties, New York, as part of Rooted Nutrition's deepening partnership with the farm.

Lone Duck Farm produces pastured poultry, forest-fed heritage breed pork, honey, maple syrup, organically grown vegetables, flowers, and more on their family-owned farm. If you have ever visited the Saugerties Farmers Market, you have probably seen their smiling faces.

Their passion for producing the most fantastic food that nourishes people and the land fits perfectly with Josh's belief that nutrient-dense, farm-to-table foods are essential to healing people and the planet. It's a match made in heaven.

During your consultation, you and Josh will work together to develop a plan to take your health to the next level, working on all facets of your life, from exercise to sleep.

While there, you will meet some friendly farm animals (and dogs), taste some herbs growing on the farm, and take home a dozen of their delicious eggs!

In other exciting news, Rooted Nutrition and the Lone Duck Farm will soon begin producing herbal products, all from ingredients grown right on the farm, as part of the Farm-To-Bottle Project, such as:

  • Dried herbs and spices

  • Loose-leaf herbal teas and blends

  • Dried mushrooms

  • Herbal syrups

  • Salves, creams, and balms

  • Essential Oils

  • Smudges

  • And much more!

There will be some great activities coming up as well:

  • Herb walks (hopefully with cocktails)

  • Farm lunches and dinners

  • Classes

  • Herbal syrup-making

  • Herbal tincture-making

  • Herbal salve-making

  • Visit the farm days

  • Night-time walks with Vicki, the pig

  • And much more!

We are so thrilled about this partnership and hope you will join us!
