The peas are organically grown in Canada?
Why does this vegan protein powder not have other protein sources like rice or hemp?
1. Grown in Canada - 90%+ of the plant proteins on the market are grown in China or Asia. It is preferable to source from Canada for many reasons, including soil health (lower heavy metals).
2. It is high in amino acids that are needed in higher amounts when building or maintaining lean muscle - the amino acid profile of pea protein is better suited for this than, say rice protein
3. Complementary proteins to pea protein are already consumed in high amounts in people's diets - somewhat like the above, but rice protein for instance, is high in amino acids that you are already getting if you are eating rice and other grains"
