Krill are tiny marine crustaceans that primarily eat microscopic photosynthetic organisms called phytoplankton. In turn, krill serve as food for many large marine animals, notably baleen whales. Although krill reside in oceans around the globe, Moss Nutrition Krill oil is sourced strictly from krill residing in the cold Southern Ocean near Antarctica.

Antarctic krill are a good source of polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), which, in krill, are found naturally bound to phospholipids. Due to being phospholipid-bound, the omega-3s in krill oil exhibit outstanding absorption

The phospholipid-enhanced absorption offered by krill oil also helps to reduce the incidence of "fishy burps" that some people experience when taking other types of fish oil supplements.

Among marine omega-3 oils, krill oil is unique because of its naturally occurring astaxanthin content. Moss Nutrition KRILL OIL is further protected with added beta carotene to reduce oxidation.

Moss Nutrition Krill oil contains shellfish; do not use it if you have a shellfish allergy.
