How is this whey protein made?

 

The milk they use undergoes flash pasteurization, which may also be referred to as high-temperature short-time (HTST) processing.  This process kills spoilage microorganisms (specifically Coxiella burnetii – the most heat-resistant pathogen found in raw milk) to make the finished product safer.  There are no raw whey protein powders on the market. Companies claiming to sell raw whey protein powders are lying. All whey protein powders must be made from pasteurized milk by law.

 

Under this process, they require their liquid dairy to move in a continuous flow for about 15 to 20 seconds at temperatures between 161 °F and 162 °F, followed by rapid cooling to between 39 °F and 42 °F.  The entire process takes approximately 20 to 30 seconds before the flash pasteurized dairy is cold-filtered to obtain their range of protein concentrates and isolates. 

 

Is this whey protein made from A1 or A2 milk?

 

This whey protein does not contain any casein protein or traces of it, so those who have issues with A1 proteins will not have an issue with it, as A1 is a type of casein protein. They do not test for A1 versus A2 because there is no casein to test for.
