Usually, Black Friday is a day people look for deals, but we thought something better should be done.
The war between Hamas and Israel has taken a huge toll on the people of Israel and Palestine. Our hearts go out to all of those who have lost loved ones in this horrific conflict and those who continue to suffer.
True victory will be for everyone, us and them; it's called peace.
Rather than give out a Black Friday discount, we will donate a portion of the day's sales to the Parents Circle – Families Forum (PCFF).
"The Parents Circle – Families Forum (PCFF) is a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization of over 600 families, all of whom have lost an immediate family member to the ongoing conflict.
Moreover, the PCFF has concluded that the process of reconciliation between nations is a prerequisite to achieving sustainable peace. The organization thus utilizes all resources available in education, public meetings, and the media to spread these ideas.
To create a framework for a reconciliation between the two people that takes into account that any political peace agreement must include an infrastructure for the process of reconciliation.
To work towards an end to violence and towards achieving an accepted political agreement.
To influence the public and the political decision-makers to choose reconciliation and the path of peace over violence and war in order to achieve a just settlement based on empathy and understanding.
The Parents Circle Families Forum invites anyone who has lost a family member due to the conflict to join them. Together, we will work to prevent more bereavement and to promote dialogue, tolerance, reconciliation, and peace."
We hope that a lasting and sustainable peace will come very soon for the people of Israel and Palestine.
